Yesterday was a good reminder of why I drive 30 minutes in traffic from San Jose to Sunnyvale to go to this practice. I had a cavity that needed to be filled, an appointment that I’ve rescheduled several times and put off due to being a nervous dental patient. But as always, the staff, dental assistant, and dentist took extraordinary efforts to make me comfortable and as relaxed as possible. They spent extra time sitting in the room talking with me before the Novocain injection to reduce the anxiety. The assistant and dentist stayed in the office to distract me with warm conversation while the numbing progresses, (and pamper me by continually asking if the seat angle is still comfortable, if I’m cold and would like a blanket, if I’ve changed my mind and want headphones to listen to the show I’m watching, etc). From the first step into the office to the last step when I leave, the team is kind, warm, and compassionate Truthfully, I feel guilty about the extra efforts they take to make my experience positive. As a business owner I understand the cost and disruption. And as a human I recognize it makes their day longer and more tiring. But I’m so very grateful for that kindness during the appointment, and their warmth at every other cleaning and visit.

I am going to Dr. Vellequette for about 2 years. I really feel safe working with him, he always have a plan and accommodates our thoughts as well. Based on my previous visit I love the front desk team, they are making us feel so comfortable and are so helpful. One con is that the waiting time is too much that you should plan to take 2 hours for this including cleaning and examination. It would be great to have some heads up. I had painful tooth issue which multiple other dentists could not fix during more than one year. In this dental clinic this issue was fixed in 5 minutes (bite adjustment) during consultation. Dentists here investigated my tooth much more precisely and noticed small overloaded area on tooth which I didn’t feel myself. 5 minutes work + 2 days relax and now I can eat everything again without pain. I have only positive experience, everything was great, doctor is nice and polite.

I came in to get a new crown for a tooth for which the old crown fell off. I was a new patient for Dr. Vellequette who performed the procedure. All went smoothly with a minimum of pain and discomfort. Dr. Vellequette put on a temporary crown and I will get the permanent one in around a week. When my sister started considering having her teeth fixed in 2019, I was so thrilled to locate Dr. Vellequette again, and my whole family have been seeing him for various dental needs since. Unbelievably... simply unbelievably!!! Dentist John and his team continues to exceed my expectation of beyond-excellent service and most knowledgeable and informative dental team!! From the moment I enter Smile Center, Angel is there to welcome me with her sweetest smile and greeting. Quick checkin and personalized chat during the walk to my comfy & clean & media equipped room. Then I was in good hands with Carrie. I can’t believe Carrie took pictures of all the angle of my teeth and zoomed in even more precisely on the problem areas that were identified back in my last dental visit in 2016 (no dental insurance but thank Angel for informing me of Dentist John’s Membership which covers 2 cleanings, x-rays and exams and discount of Dentist John’s expert read on anything that could be wrong with my teeth). Then Michelle was introduced to me and she was so knowledgeable about what was causing my sensational shots of pain in my upper left quadrant. Best cleaning and polish ever! But that was not the end to my Membership visit, the main attraction enters my room with the warmest welcome and took his time to educate me of the problem areas from 3 years ago and how Carrie’s x-rays and precise angled pictures shows the current conditions. Instead of trying to scare me to get more services done, Dentist John gave me easy to understand layman examples of my teeth conditions: what is the condition, what caused it, how everyday chewing puts stresss on it and what treatment plan needs to be implemented to fix my problematic teeth aches. Then Urly enters with the cost breakdown with the Membership discounted to my lowest possible price all without having to deal with enrollment into a long wait period dental insurance! Angel scheduled my return appt and I immediately prepaid another Membership for my 6.5 year old daughter and set up her cleaning, X-ray and exam next Wednesday. Once my parents visit me from Boston and my in-laws visit me from Philly, I am making sure they see Dentist John and his amazing team... a second opinion from the ‘most expert’ dental team confirming all our Oral Health is a must for my family now (after 3 years of no dental anything). P.s... did I mentioned that my extreme cross bite 5 years ago is now still a perfect smile all because I was under the caring hands of Dentist John and his extraordinary team throughout my Invisilign experience! So, I am giving them 4 stars. =================================== Horrible! They do not have a decent time frame to finish appointments. This has been the situation for 2 out of 3 times I have visited. Only one dr currently. Today they took x ray and made me wait for an hour , only to be told that the dr is running late and it will be another hour before he can even see me. And I guess another hour for the procedure!? What the heck?! They are overbooked, and call patients in and won't finish on time, and ask us to come back another day. Will not recommend!

I been coming to Smile Center Silicon Valley for fews years now and I have done many procedures from fillings to my first root canal and I can't stress enough how the entire staff will go out of there way to accommodate to my needs and to make sure that every visit is a successful experience. Great customer service! My entire household is seen here but what stood out the most is how they conduct business. Their staff is well trained, the office culture is great, above all the honesty from all Doctors consultations is why they continue to earn my business and vote of confidence.

I am a 73 retiree, and found Dr.Vellequette’s dental clinic by walking around in the complex searching for an appropriate provider, after my dentist of 25 years terminated his relationship with my insurance carrier. I was looking for a friendly and professional office. After stopping at several offices, someone recommended Dr, Vellequette. I remember seeing his name so I retracted my steps. After talking to his folks and seeing the environment, I decided that is the right office. So far, I visited the office several times. Dr. Vellequette and his team are always fast, professional and friendly. They took care of my dental needs with efficiency and explain what they are doing every step of the way. I am thankful that my search of a new dentist ended in well. Hopefully, I will have my dentist for another 25 years. 😌 that will be the rest of my life.

I'm still very happy with Smile Center (been here 6 years or so with Dr Fung). Pleasant environment, talented staff for cleaning and they are careful not to overdo xrays etc (all digital as well). They encourage needed treatment, but don't oversell. Plus, overhead tv during procedures to keep you distracted.

Dr. Vellequette and staff are an amazing group of people that go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. My family and I have been their patients for the last 3 to 4 years. Dr. Vellequette is an amazing dentist and a wonderful person. He makes you feel comfortable and is able to explain dental procedures in a way that you are able to understand. I used to dread going to the dentist because most locations are all about business, and they lack humanity and compassion. They have 3 expert doctors so I can get second opinions without going anywhere. They also have netflix which is good but it can be hard to hear and see at times since they're working.

They use the latest equipment and give you full color photos of your problem areas so you can see the before and after.
