Sunnyvale, California, is home to one of the state’s leading dental experts. With his extensive background and continuing dedication to the field of dentistry, John Vellequette, DDS, of Smile Center Silicon Valley is known for his expertise. Dr. Vellequette welcomes new patients to the practice.

After earning his undergraduate degree in nutritional science from the University of California, Davis, Dr. Vellequette relocated to New York for graduate school. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery studies at the University of Buffalo and minored in periodontics.

Dr. Vellequette attends about 200 hours of continuing education courses annually in orthodontics, endodontics, dental implants, crowns, veneers, and other advanced dental techniques. He is currently both a fellow and a master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD and FAGD). He is one of about 1,000 practitioners to hold the prestigious mastership award.

Dr. Vellequette has been a hands-on clinical instructor for over 10 years. He mentored other dentists in techniques of smile design for creating beautiful smiles for their patients.

To ensure he stays up to date with the latest and most advanced dental procedures, Dr. Vellequette maintains several professional memberships. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the Cranio Mandibular Institute (CMI), among several others. Dr. Vellequette even served on legislative committees and as an alternate delegate for the California Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association® (ADA).

Dr. Vellequette’s principal professional goal is to set the standard for excellence in the practice and delivery of dental care. Being able to do this involves teaching other dentists the art and science of advanced aesthetic dentistry throughout the United States.

When Dr. Vellequette is not busy caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his three children. They enjoy activities such as skiing, swimming, and hiking.

After completing her undergraduate degree studies in integrative biology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Fung relocated to California for her graduate studies. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2011 from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.

Dr. Fung strives to continue her education and stay up to date on current dental techniques and procedures. This allows her to perfect a patient’s smile and give them a boost of confidence. Dr. Fung’s patients commend her compassionate and friendly chairside manner. She is known for having a gentle touch, making patients feel relaxed during their dental procedures.

When Dr. Fung is away from the office, she cares for her son and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She also enjoys spending time reading, swimming, and working on her many hobbies.
